My name is Toks Pedro. I was born in Bowie, Maryland on April 17, 1996. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria until I was 13 years old, but picked up the game of golf when I was 9... and haven't stopped since! When I moved to the US at age 13, I joined a golf academy in Hilton Head, South Carolina called JPGA. While I was there, I won over 15 junior holf tournaments across different age ranges. I became the first person of Nigerian heritage to ever play Division 1 Collegiate Golf in the United States. I joined Rutgers University where I played 4 years and became captain of the team in my Junior and Senior seasons. After gradutating in 2018, I qualified to play in the U.S. Amateur Championship at Pebble Beach and (again) became the first Nigerian to ever compete in the event. I turned professional in September of 2018, playing across different tours including PGA Tour China, APGA Tour, G Pro Tour, Minor League Tour, Moonlight Tour, and a few others. Most recently, I have competed in several Q-school qualifiers with a pursuit to earn my PGA Tour Card.
I joined J. BUTLER GOLF in June 2022 as the first sponsored athlete in the company's growing history. It has been an amazing journey since and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead.
